Dr. Bailey Steele was born and raised in North Bay; her roots run deep in the area. She is the 5th generation of her family to live and work here.

Dr. Steele fulfilled her childhood dream and attended McMaster University, completing her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, in 2014. She attended the University of Ottawa Medical School in the Indigenous stream, graduating in 2018.

Dr. Steele returned to North Bay to complete her family medicine residency training with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). Her comprehensive family medicine practices are based out of the North Bay Indigenous Hub and Northern Shores Medical Clinic.
