Facility-wide respiratory outbreak declared
Documents
Today, the District Health Unit declared a facility-wide respiratory outbreak. Lab results identified COVID-19 as one of the circulating viruses. We continue to closely follow best practice guidelines during this respiratory outbreak – and ask you to do the same.
General visitors are still allowed.
If you're coming into Cassellholme to visit, surgical masks are required over your nose and mouth for the full duration of your visit – including in the Resident's room.
Visiting a Resident in isolation:
If you're an essential caregiver [ECG] or support worker visiting a Resident with a confirmed or suspected infection, N-95 masks, gowns and eye protection are required. If possible, consider postponing your visit to these areas for the duration of the outbreak.
Do not enter if you're experiencing symptoms. If you do visit, be very diligent with your hand hygiene practices, masking and distance. Hand sanitizing remains a vital defence against most illnesses. Continue to wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.
Thank you! We rely on you, and everyone coming into Cassellholme, to help us reduce infections.
